簡介：影片講述Kenzaburo(中川雅也飾)在妻子Akiko(木村多江飾)去世后，帶著兒子(錦戶亮飾)離開日本，前往《彼得兔》作者碧翠絲·波特的故鄉(xiāng)英格蘭湖區(qū)旅行，因?yàn)锳kiko兒時很喜歡《彼得兔》的故事，她一直希望能和Kenzaburo一起去英格蘭湖區(qū)旅行。Kenzaburo必須要實(shí)現(xiàn)Akiko的遺愿，將她的骨灰撒到當(dāng)?shù)氐暮?。Kenzaburo與兒子發(fā)生爭執(zhí)后，最終獨(dú)自前往了英格蘭湖區(qū)。在經(jīng)過噩夢般的入境過程，Kenzaburo最終遇到了約翰(希德飾)和他的女兒瑪麗(巴克利飾)，他們之間產(chǎn)生了濃厚的友誼，而Kenzaburo也意識到自己需要和兒子一起追尋這段象征性的旅程，并最終揭開一個長久以來的秘密。
